PRESENTATION

Namibia is a country in southwestern Africa, bordered to the north by Angola and Zambia, to the east by Botswana, to the south by South Africa, and to the west by the Atlantic Ocean.

The country became independent from South Africa on March 21, 1990, after the Namibian War of Independence.

With the Namib Desert along its Atlantic coast, Namibia boasts a diverse fauna, including a significant population of leopards and cheetahs.

Sossusvlei

Previously inaccessible, as it was part of the diamond mining zone, Sossusvlei was opened to the public in 1977. It is a protected park and one of the most visited places in Namibia. Sossusvlei covers more than 32,000 square meters of western Namibia. Here is concentrated the beauty of the Namib Desert. It is one of the oldest deserts in the world, where giant dunes rise, among the most beautiful and tallest in the world, some reaching 300 meters in height.

Deadvlei is a postcard image of Namibia, where trees have been found for over 900 years. Everyone has seen, somewhere, the petrified trees in the middle of the reddish dunes of the Namib Desert. These are among the most famous images of the country… This phenomenon originated from the sudden deviation of the course of a river that passed through the region.

Etosha National Park is Namibia's main destination for those who want to see wildlife. It covers more than 22,000 km² and is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, black and white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, kudus, oryx, hyenas and, in abundance, the friendly springboks and steenboks, as well as dozens of other animals. Considered a National Park of Namibia, Etosha is a large protected area free from hunting, where animals can roam freely and have a natural habitat.

**Lunches will be self-catering, with picnics. The vehicles are equipped with a mini-fridge and accessories to facilitate this logistics! On some days there will be the option to have lunch at a restaurant, given their proximity.
